Just in case anyone was interested, here is my statement of purpose. I try to accomplish four things in it. First, I describe certain events in my life which have generated interest in my grad school concentration. Second, I talk about my goals that have been generated by said experiences. Third, I describe why and how this particular grad school would allow me to accomplish these goals. And lastly, I close by saying why I am a good candidate. Here it is:

Personal Statements are usually the same for all graduate programs, yes? In regards to Business school I think there asking for a correlation to your reasoning for applying to Business school & how your goals and past experiences will contribute to your success in their Business School.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Bryan R, Your statement of Purpose states a very strong statements of you being a good candidate. However, it doesn't talk about how and why you can contribute to the business area.
ReplyDeleteI feel like part of your statement of purpose is telling me how to achieve my goals/steps to success. From my experience, I would not put the word "you" in your essay (i.e: the first sentence in the last paragraph). I also agree though that you put down your reasons of why you're a good candidate and how you found your passion, but that you should include how you can contribute to the business area.
