Exercise in Style

Exercise in Stlye
My parents were going away for the weekend and asked me to help bring stuff down to their car. They had a lot of stuff so I put their things inside a cart. After waiting for the elevator for 5 minutes I realized that strange noises were coming from the shaft, from this I figured the elevator was broken and I decided to take the stairs. While dragging the cart down the stairs it fell and I had to put everything back inside. After this I put the stuff inside my parents car and set them on their way.
Ten minutes later I received a phone call from my parents. My mother forgot her phone charger and asked me to bring it to her. I then wished for them to have a good trip for a second time.

My parents asked me to help them bring a few things down for their long vacation. Our reliable elevator was not in top condition. I took the easier route and brought it down the stairs. My mother with her great memory didn’t bring her phone charger. I gleefully brought it down to her and sent them on their great journey.

Animism
The phone charger laid lonely inside its bedroom. The loud commotion sounded familiar to the charger and he knew that he will soon be travelling. Then the noises stopped and all was silent. The charger was once again lonely and felt he has been abandoned like many chargers before him.
Some time passed and the charger accepted his fate, it has happened to many of his comrades who now lay idle inside the bottom drawer never to see the light of day again. Just then a handsome young man grabbed him and brought him into the cold air which he has not felt in weeks. The charger was then taken into the car and was plugged into the juice which made him feel so good, he was then reunited with his mate and was happy once again.

Mi parentus journeyus weekenda, askus mi transferium objectus caratorium. Elevatorium no opperatus, ego descendaria carta starius. Objecti falla outus carta, objecti unitus carta. Objecti into caretorium, parentus leavum onum journeyus.
Tena minutus latera matra telephonus mi. Matra forgutus telephonus chargerium. Chargerium returnus atra matra. Parentus leavum againus, ego wishum goodum tripus.

  1. The Animism aspect of your piece really illustrates the moment from the charger's point of view. It is not often that the points of view of inanimate objects are depicted. Unless you're Raymond Queneau and vegetation (Story As you Like It).

I enjoyed your ability to create a doomsday effect for the charger towards the end.
